Mesenosaurus romeri
Taxonomy
Mesenosaurus romeri was named by Efremov (1938). Its type specimen is PIN 158/1, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kiselikha, PIN 158, Lower Mezen' River, which is in a Kazanian/Urzhumian terrestrial horizon in the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Mesenosaurus.
