Ainoceras was named as a genus. It is not extant. Its type is Ainoceras kamuyi.

It was reranked as Jouaniceras (Ainoceras) by Wright et al. (1996).

It was assigned to Jouaniceras by Wright et al. (1996); and to Ammonoidea by Sepkoski (2002).
