Taxonomy

Kalligramma was named by Walther (1904). Its type is Kalligramma haeckeli. It is the type genus of Kalligrammidae, Kalligrammatinae.

It was assigned to Kalligrammidae by Handlirsch (1906); to Kalligrammatidae by Martynova (1949), Carpenter (1992), Ren and Guo (1996), Makarkin et al. (2012), Liu et al. (2014); and to Kalligrammatinae by Yang et al. (2014), Makarkin and Ansorge (2025).

Kalligrammula was named by Handlirsch (1919).

It was synonymized subjectively with Kalligramma by Makarkin and Ansorge (2025).

It was assigned to Kalligrammidae by Handlirsch (1919), Carpenter (1992); to Kallihemerobiinae by Yang et al. (2014); and to Kalligrammatidae by Martynova (1949), Liu et al. (2015).
Limnogramma was named by Ren (2003).

It was synonymized subjectively with Kalligrammula by Liu et al. (2015); it was synonymized subjectively with Kalligramma by Makarkin and Ansorge (2025).

It was assigned to Kalligrammatidae by Ren (2003); to Kalligrammidae by Makarkin et al. (2009), Makarkin et al. (2012); and to Kalligrammatinae by Yang et al. (2014).
