Taxonomy
Nostoceras mariatheresianum was named by Haas (1943) [DISTRIBUTION: Senonian; Angola.]. It is not extant. Its type specimen is AMNH 25463, a shell. Its type locality is S-3, Maria Theresa [Teba Fm], which is in a Turonian/Santonian marine horizon in the Teba Formation of Angola.
