Ammonites syzranicus was named by Pavlow and Lamplugh (1892) [DISTRIBUTION: Valanginian; Greenland, Siberia.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Nikitinoceras (Russanovia) syzranicum by Alsen (2006).
