Taxonomy
Barroisiceras (Forresteria) hobsoni was named by Reeside (1932) [DISTRIBUTION: Coniacian.]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pueblo [Fort Hays Limestone, Niobrara Fm], which is in a Turonian deep subtidal shelf limestone in the Niobrara Formation of Colorado.

It was recombined as Forresteria (Forresteria) hobsoni by Kennedy and Wright (1983), Sealey and Lucas (2019).
