Heteroschizodus macomoides
Taxonomy
Heteroschizodus macomoides was named by Newell and Boyd (1975). Its type specimen is AMNH 29212, a valve (Left valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is AMNH512, Guadalupe Pass, Guadalupe Mountains, which is in a Roadian slope limestone in the Cherry Canyon Formation of Texas. It is the type species of Heteroschizodus.
