Taxonomy
Echinalosia discinia was named by Waterhouse (1986). Its type specimen is UQF 70303 and is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is UQ L4218, Ross Creek Tributary, Cracow Station, which is in a Roadian transition zone/lower shoreface sandstone in the Brae Formation of Australia.
