Notoetayoa gargantuai
Taxonomy
Notoetayoa gargantuai was named by Gelfo et al. (2008). Its type specimen is MPEF-PV 1871, a mandible (fragmentary left mandible with well preserved m3), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Puerto Visser - Bahía Bustamante, which is in a Danian terrestrial horizon in the Peñas Coloradas Formation of Argentina. It is the type species of Notoetayoa.
