Arcomytilus biochei was named by Deshayes (1858) [DISTRIBUTION: Late Eocene-Oligocene; Europe, Pakistan. COMMENTS: Unsure of authority date.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Mytilus (Arcomytilus) biochei by Cossmann and Pissarro (1906).
