Procrax brevipes

Taxonomy
Procrax brevipes was named by Tordoff and Macdonald (1957). Its type specimen is SDSM No. 511, a partial skeleton (skeleton lacking skull and cervical vertebrae), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Procrax brevipes type locality, which is in a Chadronian lacustrine limestone in the Chadron Formation of South Dakota. It is the type species of Procrax.
