Pseudostrophalosia clarkei
Taxonomy
Productus clarkei was named by Etheridge (1872). Its type specimen is QM F2887, a valve, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bowen River (Daintree collection), which is in a Wuchiapingian marine siliciclastic in the Blenheim Formation of Australia.
It was recombined as Strophalosia clarkei by Maxwell (1954); it was recombined as Lialosia clarkei by Muir-Wood and Cooper (1960); it was recombined as Wyndhamia clarkei by Waterhouse (1964), Dear (1971), Waterhouse (1982); it was recombined as Pseudostrophalosia clarkei by Briggs (1998).
