Paraphillipsia taurica

Taxonomy

Paraphillipsia tauricum was named by Tumanskaya (1935). Its type specimen is TsNIGR 9733/64, a cephalon/head (glabella), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kichkhi-Burnu Block, Marta River, Crimea (Tumanskaya coll), which is in a Roadian carbonate limestone in the Marta Formation of Ukraine.

It was corrected as Paraphillipsia taurica by Tumanskaya (1935), Hahn et al. (1970), Mychko (2012).

Paraphillipsia netschaewi was named by Tumanskaya (1935). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kichkhi-Burnu Block, Marta River, Crimea (Tumanskaya coll), which is in a Roadian carbonate limestone in the Marta Formation of Ukraine.

It was synonymized subjectively with Paraphillipsia taurica by Mychko (2012).
