Sister taxa: Eopelobates bayeri, Eopelobates grandis, Eopelobates hiuschei, Eopelobates wagneri
Type specimen: BM(NH) R. 4841, a skeleton (impression of a complete skeleton on a lignite slab). Its type locality is Rott, which is in a MP 30 lacustrine - small shale in Germany.
Ecology: amphibious carnivore
Distribution:
• Oligocene of Germany (2 collections)
Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
