Type specimens:
- Macroelongatoolithus carlylei: BYU-E 200, an egg. Its type locality is Castle Dale, Jensen Locality 1, which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial shale in the Cedar Mountain Formation of Utah.
- Longiteresoolithus xixiaensis: Its type locality is Liuying, Yangcheng, which is in a Cenomanian/Turonian terrestrial siltstone in the Gaogou Formation of China.
Distribution:
• Cretaceous of China (4 collections), South Korea (1), United States (8: Idaho, Nevada, Utah)
Total: 13 collections each including a single occurrence
