Sister taxon: Foxemys trabanti
Type specimen: MD t 10, a partial skeleton (dorsoventrally crushed skull with right half of carapace and complete plastron). Its type locality is Fox-Amphoux-La Bastide Neuve, which is in a Campanian fluvial claystone in France.
Ecology: amphibious omnivore
Distribution:
• Cretaceous of France (5 collections), Spain (1)
