Sister taxa: Asiatosuchus depressifrons, Asiatosuchus germanicus, Asiatosuchus nanlingensis, Asiatosuchus oenotriensis, Crocodylus vicetinus
Type specimen: AMNH 6606, a mandible (lower jaws). Its type locality is 7 Miles West of Camp Margetts (1930 AMNH Gobiatherium type locality), which is in an Arshantan terrestrial claystone in the Arshanto Formation of China.
Ecology: carnivore
Distribution: found only at 7 Miles West of Camp Margetts (1930 AMNH Gobiatherium type locality)
