Type specimen: YPM 1200, a partial skeleton (nearly complete entire posterior limbs, parts of the pelvis, several cervical and caudal vertebrae, and numerous ribs). Its type locality is Goblin Hollow, which is in a Santonian marine shale in the Niobrara Formation of Kansas.

Ecology: aquatic piscivore

Distribution:

• Cretaceous of Canada (17: Alberta, Manitoba, Northwest Territories collections), United States (2: Kansas, South Dakota)

Total: 19 collections each including a single occurrence
