Type specimen: TMM 41685-11, a tooth (upper third premolar, well preserved except that the roots are broken away). Its type locality is Rancho El Ocote (Basal), which is in a Hemphillian fluvial claystone/sandstone in the Rancho Viejo Beds Formation of Mexico.

Ecology: ground dwelling browser-grazer

Distribution: found only at Rancho El Ocote (Basal)
