Sister taxon: Coniasaurus gracilodens

Type specimen: BMB 007155, a partial skeleton (left maxilla and 14 dorsal vertebrae). Its type locality is Clayton Chalk Pit (Chalk Marl), which is in a Cenomanian/Cenomanian carbonate chalk in the Beer Head Limestone Formation of the United Kingdom.

Distribution:

• Cretaceous of Canada (1: Saskatchewan collection), the United Kingdom (5), United States (8: Colorado, Kansas, Texas)

Total: 14 collections each including a single occurrence
