Type specimen: CAS/SU 143, a shell. Its type locality is Tejon from the McCray Wells (Locality 8 of Waring 1917), which is in an Eocene marine horizon in the Llajas Formation of California.

Distribution: found only at Tejon from the McCray Wells (Locality 8 of Waring 1917)
