Sister taxa: Khunnuchelys erinhotensis, Khunnuchelys lophorhothon
Type specimen: CCMGE 98/12458, a skull (Braincase and skull roof). Its type locality is CBI-28, Dzharakuduk II, which is in a Turonian/Turonian terrestrial horizon in the Bissekty Formation of Uzbekistan.
Ecology: aquatic omnivore
Distribution:
• Cretaceous of Uzbekistan (3 collections)
Total: 3 collections each including a single occurrence
