Belongs to Tersomius according to E. Daly 1973
Sister taxa: Tersomius dolesensis, Tersomius texensis
Type specimen: FMNH UR 1214, a skull (+postcranial scrap). Its type locality is Norman, which is in a Kungurian fluvial-lacustrine shale/shale in the Hennessey Formation of Oklahoma.
Ecology: amphibious carnivore
Distribution: found only at Norman
