Sister taxa: Irenesauripus mclearni, Irenesauripus occidentalis

Type specimen: NMC 8549, a footprint. Its type locality is 1.5 miles upstream from Gething's mine (B), Peace River Canyon, which is in an Albian terrestrial sandstone/claystone in the Gething Formation of Canada.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore

Distribution:

• Cretaceous of Canada (6: British Columbia, Yukon collections)

• Jurassic to Cretaceous of Canada (1: British Columbia)
