Type specimen: MER. AS. 817. Its type locality is Parana, Pueblo Brugo to Diamante, Ituzaingo Fm., which is in a Huayquerian marine sandstone/mudstone in the Ituzaingo Formation of Argentina.

Ecology: aquatic carnivore

Distribution: found only at Parana, Pueblo Brugo to Diamante, Ituzaingo Fm.
