Type specimen: A635 V.P. and B635 V.P., U. of Mo.. Its type locality is tracksite, 2 miles northwest of Golden, which is in an Albian/Cenomanian coastal sandstone/shale in the Muddy Sandstone Formation of Colorado.
Distribution: found only at tracksite, 2 miles northwest of Golden
