Type specimen: UON 84-377, a tooth (left upper M3). Its type locality is Bir El Ater, which is in a Bartonian/Priabonian deltaic sandstone in Algeria.
Ecology: ground dwelling grazer-browser
Distribution: found only at Bir El Ater
