Type specimen: IRSNB ED002-M. 1885, a partial skull. Its type locality is Beneziphius brevirostris type locality, which is in a Serravallian marine horizon in Belgium.
Ecology: aquatic piscivore-carnivore
Distribution: found only at Beneziphius brevirostris type locality
