Sister taxa: Tinodon lepidus, Tinodon micron

Type specimen: YPM 11843, a mandible (right mandible with M1-4). Its type locality is Quarry 9, Como Bluff (YPM), which is in a Kimmeridgian/Tithonian fluvial-lacustrine mudstone/sandstone in the Morrison Formation of Wyoming.

Ecology: scansorial insectivore

Distribution: found only at Quarry 9, Como Bluff (YPM)
