Type specimen: NMJH N-001, a partial skeleton (right dorsal part of the cranium with right canine and second premolar). Its type locality is Mito, Mito Formation, which is in a Serravallian marine sandstone in the Mito Formation of Japan.

Ecology: amphibious carnivore

Distribution: found only at Mito, Mito Formation
