Type specimen: Private specimen of E. S. Weinberg, a skeleton (nearly complete articulated skeleton). Its type locality is Near Fossil, which is in a Bridgerian lacustrine - large shale in the Green River Formation of Wyoming.
Ecology: carnivore
Distribution: found only at Near Fossil
