Type specimen: AMNH 5195, a set of vertebrae (About 157 anterior and posterior thoracic vertebrae and numerous rib fragments). Its type locality is Two miles north of Gardner, which is in a Bridgerian terrestrial horizon in the Huerfano Formation of Colorado.
