Type specimens:
- Habrosaurus dilatus: USNM 10749 (greater portion of left dentary with teeth). Its type locality is Lance Creek (AMNH 1892 general), which is in a Maastrichtian terrestrial horizon in the Lance Formation of Wyoming.
- Adelphesiren olivae: CM 6467, a set of vertebrae (dorsal vertebra). Its type locality is Carnegie Museum Lance collection, which is in a Lancian terrestrial horizon in the Lance Formation of Wyoming.
Ecology: aquatic carnivore
Distribution:
• Paleocene of United States (8: Montana, New Mexico, Wyoming collections)
• Cretaceous of Canada (1: Saskatchewan), United States (39: Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming)
Total: 48 collections each including a single occurrence
