Type specimen: AMNH 3829 (complete mid-thoracic vertebra). Its type locality is Hyopsodus Hill, which is in a Bridgerian terrestrial horizon in the Bridger Formation of Wyoming.
Ecology: fossorial carnivore
Distribution: found only at Hyopsodus Hill
