Sister taxon: Palaeoscincosaurus pharkidodon
Type specimen: UCM 34621, a mandible (medial part of left mandible with teeth). Its type locality is Alexander, which is in a Puercan terrestrial shale/sandstone in the Denver Formation of Colorado.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at Alexander
