Sister taxon: Selenichnus falcatus
Type specimen: AC 44/10, a footprint. Its type locality is Ferry above Turners Falls, tracksite, which is in a Hettangian/Sinemurian fluvial-lacustrine sandstone in the Portland Formation of Massachusetts.
Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore
