Type specimen: DMNH 40932. Its type locality is Tony's Bone Bed (DMNS 2182), which is in an Aptian lacustrine limestone/mudstone in the Cedar Mountain Formation of Utah.

Distribution: found only at Tony's Bone Bed (DMNS 2182)
