Sister taxon: Panoplosaurus mirus

Type specimen: USNM 11868, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is north side, Milk River (USNM), which is in a Campanian terrestrial horizon in the Two Medicine Formation of Montana.

Distribution:

• Cretaceous of Canada (2: Alberta collections), United States (7: Montana, Wyoming)

Total: 9 collections each including a single occurrence
