Type specimen: BMNH M11091, a limb element (right humerus). Its type locality is Awamoa Creek, which is in an Altonian coastal horizon in the Mount Harris Formation of New Zealand.
Ecology: aquatic carnivore
Distribution: found only at Awamoa Creek
