Sister taxon: Cherminsaurus tereschenkoi

Type specimen: ZPal MgR-III/24, a skull. Its type locality is Khermeen Tsav I, Red Beds [PMPE], which is in a Campanian/Campanian eolian sandstone in the Baruungoyot Formation of Mongolia.
