Belongs to Phthartus according to S. H. Haughton 1924
Sister taxa: Phthartus netschajevi, Phthartus rossicus
Type specimen: SAM 5732, a nymph. Its type locality is Siberia, Wodehouse, which is in a Sinemurian terrestrial shale in the Clarens Formation of South Africa.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at Siberia, Wodehouse
