Sister taxon: Zanycteris honeyi

Type specimen: AMNH 17180, a partial skull (incomplete, crushed skull containing right C, M1-3, left M1-3). Its type locality is Mason Pocket, which is in a Tiffanian fissure fill shale in Colorado.

Ecology: arboreal herbivore

Distribution:

• Paleocene of Canada (1: Alberta collection), United States (2: Colorado, Wyoming)

Total: 3 collections each including a single occurrence
