Sister taxon: Simimeryx hudsoni

Type specimen: CM 11913, a mandible (Portion of right ramus of mandible with P4-M2). Its type locality is Red Narrows, which is in a Duchesnean terrestrial horizon in the Duchesne River Formation of Utah.

Ecology: ground dwelling grazer-browser

Distribution: found only at Red Narrows
