- Pliometanastes protistus: Its type locality is McGehee Farm, which is in a Hemphillian terrestrial horizon in the Alachua Formation of Florida
- Pliometanastes galushai: Its type locality is Chamita Formation (Middle Brown Unit), which is in a Hemphillian terrestrial horizon in the Chamita Formation of New Mexico.
Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore
Distribution:
• Hemphillian of Costa Rica (1 collection), United States (7: California, Florida, New Mexico, Texas)
