Type specimen: A.M.N.H. No. 17368, a maxilla (upper jaw with C, P4-M2 and alveoli of remaining cheek teeth). Its type locality is Mason Pocket, which is in a Tiffanian fissure fill shale in Colorado.

Distribution:

• Paleocene of Canada (9: Alberta, Saskatchewan collections), United States (20: California, Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, Texas, Wyoming)

Total: 29 collections each including a single occurrence
