Type specimen: UMMP 29254, a mandible (a right jaw with incisor and m1-m2). Its type locality is Jinglebob, which is in a Pleistocene terrestrial horizon in the Kingsdown Formation of Kansas.
Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore
Distribution: there are no occurrences of Onychomys jinglebobensis in the database
