Type specimen: SDSM 56105, a mandible (fragment of left mandible, with slightly worn m2-3.). Its type locality is Sharps (SDSM V-5360), which is in a Geringian terrestrial horizon in the Sharps Formation of South Dakota.

Ecology: semifossorial insectivore-carnivore

Distribution:

• Arikareean of United States (2: Nebraska collections)

• Oligocene of United States (3: Montana, Nebraska, South Dakota)

Total: 5 collections each including a single occurrence
