Belongs to Notolagus according to R. W. Wilson 1937
Sister taxon: Notolagus lepusculus
Type specimen: CIT 2133, a mandible (Left ramus with I and P3-M2). Its type locality is Yepomera, which is in a Hemphillian terrestrial horizon in Mexico.
Ecology: ground dwelling grazer-browser
Distribution:
• Blancan of Mexico (1 collection)
• Hemphillian of Mexico (4)
