Type specimens:

  • Filikomys primaevus: NMC 1890, a mandible (right mandible with p4m1). Its type locality is 6.4 km below mouth of Berry Creek, which is in a Judithian terrestrial horizon in the Oldman Formation of Canada.

• Cretaceous of Canada (5: Alberta collections), United States (8: Montana, Wyoming)
