Sister taxon: Hylomeryx annectens

Type specimen: CM 2346, a partial skull (Portions of right and left maxillae and rami of the mandible). Its type locality is Kennedy's Hole, which is in an Uintan terrestrial horizon in the Uinta Formation of Utah.

Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore
